Environmental guidelines for Wikimedia Norway
Adopted at a board meeting on 11 February 2020.
Wikimedia Norway's Environmental Guidelines
- Wikimedia Norway will limit the use of hard copies and printed matter. When we need printed matter, we will print in recycled or Nordic Ecolabelled paper, and sustainably produced textiles.
- Wikimedia Norway will waste sort its own waste.
- Wikimedia Norway's employees, board and representatives shall consider environmentally friendly transport alternatives whenever possible.
- Wikimedia Norway will add more meetings to the destination when we choose to travel by plane.
- Wikimedia Norway will recycle and reuse electronic equipment, and pass it on whenever possible.
- Wikimedia Norway will recycle and reuse office furniture, and pass it on whenever possible.
- Wikimedia Norway will strive to serve climate-friendly and vegetarian food at board meetings and events under our auspices.
